Photo Consent
We are increasingly using photographs of pupils ‘at work’ to celebrate the fantastic achievements and diverse nature of our school.
We sometimes use these images in our school’s prospectus or in other printed publications that we produce, as well as on display boards and digital screens in and around our school and on our school website, blog and Twitter. We may occasionally, also make audio, video or webcam recordings for monitoring, topic work, video conferencing with partner schools, extra-curricular activities, or other educational use.
Due to our school’s high profile from time to time, we may also be visited by the media who will take photographs or film footage of a visiting dignitary or other high profile event. Pupils will often appear in these images, which may appear in local or national newspapers, school newspaper/ website or on televised news programmes. Some newspapers insist that children’s names must be published with their photographs. If not, they may decline to cover school events. Therefore we will normally give the children’s full names (but not addresses) to newspapers.
Our website, which is absolutely amazing, can be viewed throughout the world and not just in the United Kingdom where UK. Law applies.
In order to comply with the Data Protection Act 1998, your consent is required, so that we can continue to celebrate our school using photographs or video/audio recordings of your child.
